Roxie & Chime

Our Mission

Carolina Fetch Rescue strives to be a lifeline for vulnerable dogs. Rescuing the abandoned, healing the wounded, and rehabilitating the frightened. Through compassionate foster care, dedicated medical treatment, and patient behavioral support, we empower dogs to decompress, rebuild their confidence, and transition into loving, permanent homes.

Meet The Hearts Behind Carolina Fetch Rescue

Carolina Fetch Rescue was founded on a shared belief: every dog deserves a second chance.

Through years of working with rescues, shelters, veterinary care, and dogs in need, our founders saw firsthand how much can change when compassionate people come together with a common purpose. They knew that no one person could save every dog—but by combining their experience, strengths, dedication, and love for animals, they could make a meaningful difference, one dog at a time.

Together, they created Carolina Fetch Rescue to provide vulnerable dogs with more than a way out. Their goal is to give each dog the opportunity to feel safe, heal, learn to trust again, and ultimately find the loving home they deserve.

Working together, they may not be able to change the world for every dog—but they can change the entire world for the dogs they save.

🐾Foster For Carolina Fetch Rescue

Open Your Home 🐾   Save a Life
🐾Carolina Fetch Rescue is a foster-based rescue, which means foster families are at the heart of what we do.
🐾Without foster homes, we cannot say “yes” to dogs who need us.
🐾When you foster, you aren't just helping one dog. You are giving a dog a safe place to land while creating space for another dog to be rescued.
🐾You provide the home.
🐾Carolina Fetch Rescue provides the support.

What Foster Families Provide

Our foster families provide something that cannot be replaced—a safe, loving home.
We ask foster families to provide:

  • A safe and secure indoor living environment

  • Fresh food and water according to the dog's needs

  • Daily exercise and appropriate enrichment

  • Patience while the dog decompresses and adjusts

  • Basic household routines and positive reinforcement

  • Transportation to veterinary appointments or adoption events when possible

  • Updates and photos about the dog's personality and progress

  • Communication with Carolina Fetch Rescue about medical, behavioral, or other concerns

Most importantly, we ask you to provide patience, compassion, consistency, and love.

                                         Foster FAQs

Do I need experience fostering dogs?

No.  Previous dog experience can be helpful, but you do not need to have fostered before. We will work with you to find a dog appropriate for your household and experience level.

How long will I foster?

Every dog is different. Some find homes quickly, while others need more time. We will discuss what you are comfortable with before placement.

Can I foster if I already have pets?

Possibly. We consider your current pets, household, lifestyle, and the foster dog's needs and temperament when determining whether a placement is appropriate.

Can I choose which dog I foster?

We will work with you to find a dog whose needs are compatible with your household, experience, and lifestyle.

What if my foster dog needs veterinary care?

Contact Carolina Fetch Rescue. Veterinary care must be coordinated and approved through the rescue except in an emergency when immediate care is
necessary.

What if the placement isn't working?

Contact us as soon as possible. We understand that not every dog is the right fit for every home. Our priority is keeping everyone safe and finding the best solution for the family and the dog.

What if I want to adopt my foster dog?

It happens! If you believe your foster dog has already found their forever home with you, contact Carolina Fetch Rescue to discuss the adoption process.

Is saying goodbye difficult?

Sometimes. But saying goodbye means you accomplished what you set out to do. You gave a dog safety, stability, and love until their forever family could be found—and made room to save another.

 Become a Foster

You don't have to adopt a dog to change a dog's life.

Whether you foster once or welcome many foster dogs over the years, you become an important part of their journey from uncertainty to safety and from rescue to home.

Open your home. Open your heart. Save a life.

These special dogs are ready to find their perfect families and the loving forever homes they deserve. Could one of them be waiting for you?

Roxie & Chime

Meet Roxie & Chime — Twice the Love, One Forever Home 🐾💙

Roxie, a beautiful Husky, and Chime, an adorable Chiweenie, may look like an unlikely pair, but these two are the very best of friends. They have shared their lives together, and their bond is something truly special. Roxie and Chime must be adopted together, because forever just wouldn’t be the same without each other.

Roxie and Chime came to Carolina Fetch Rescue after their owner was no longer able to provide the care they needed. Their lives may have taken an unexpected turn, but they haven't let it change their wonderful personalities. These two absolutely love people, love attention, and seem to make friends wherever they go.

Their foster mom describes them as incredibly sweet and says their personalities keep her entertained every day. Whether they're playing, exploring, asking for attention, or simply hanging out together, Roxie and Chime have a way of making ordinary moments a little more fun.

They are housebroken and do well with other dogs, both large and small. They are also up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and receive monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.

What Roxie and Chime need now is the final chapter of their rescue story: a family of their own. A family who will welcome them both, laugh at their antics, enjoy their affection, and give them the security of knowing they will never have to say goodbye to one another.

They already have each other. Now they're just waiting for you.

Could Roxie and Chime be the two who make lasting memories with your family? 💙🐾

Ruby & Bobby

Two Hearts, One Home — Looking for Their Second Chance

Ruby and Bobby never expected their lives to change so suddenly. After their beloved owner passed away, these two devoted companions found themselves without the home and person they had always known.

Thankfully, they still have each other.

Ruby and Bobby are a bonded pair who have shared their lives together, providing one another with comfort, companionship, and a sense of familiarity during a time of tremendous change. Carolina Fetch Rescue is committed to keeping them together.

They are currently being boarded while they wait for a foster home or, even better, the forever family who will welcome them both. While they are safe and cared for, a boarding facility simply cannot replace the warmth of a home, a soft bed, and the security of belonging to a family again.

Ruby and Bobby have already experienced the loss of someone they loved. We don't want them to experience the loss of each other, too. They aren't looking for separate homes—they're looking for one special family with enough room in their hearts for two.

Opening your home to Ruby and Bobby, whether as a foster or an adopter, would give these two sweet souls something they desperately need: the chance to leave boarding behind, settle into a home again, and begin their next chapter together.

They once knew what it meant to have a person and a place to call home. Now they're patiently waiting for someone to give them that feeling again.

Could you be the one to give Ruby & Bobby their forever home? 💙🐾

Ruby & Bobby are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Hank

Meet Hank — A Second Chance and a Heart Full of Love 🐾💙

Hank is a handsome Lab/Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This sweet young guy is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs approximately 65 pounds. He is affectionate, friendly, gentle, athletic, and playful—the kind of dog who is always ready for an adventure but just as happy spending time with the people he loves.

Hank truly has never met a stranger he doesn't like! He loves people, is good with children and other dogs, and his friendly nature makes it easy to fall in love with him.

But Hank's journey hasn't always been easy. He was surrendered after being hit by a car and suffering a serious orthopedic injury that required major surgery. Hank showed just how resilient he is and made a remarkable recovery. Today, he is completely recovered, and watching him run and play, you would never know what he has been through.

Hank is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and receives monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. He's healthy, happy, and ready to begin the best chapter of his life.
Because of his high energy level and playfulness a home with children over 8 years old is recommended.

Hank would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a loving, playful dog to share their lives and adventures with. After everything this special boy has overcome, there's only one thing left on his wish list:

A forever home and a family to call his own. 🏡❤️

Could Hank be the missing piece of your family?
